Who Is Vintage Pet Rescue?
Vintage Pet Rescue is a Rhode Island-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for senior and special-needs dogs.
Founded by Kristen and Marc Peralta, this compassionate team provides cage-free sanctuary living, vital medical care, and adoption support to dogs who might otherwise be overlooked in traditional shelters. In 2025 alone they’ve already saved hundreds of senior pups, and over 1,293 dogs since 2017, a testament to the power of community, care, and patience.
Their mission is simple but profound: every dog, regardless of age or need, deserves a loving home and the chance to live out their golden years with comfort and dignity.
Senior Dogs, Special Love
Senior and special-needs dogs face unique challenges, from chronic illnesses to age-related mobility issues. Vintage Pet Rescue meets each with tailored medical attention, emotional support, and patience, allowing these cherished animals to blossom in their later years.
Their adoption process focuses on finding the best possible families, and they even sometimes waive traditional fees with a simple donation-encouraged model, making these sweet seniors even more accessible to loving homes.
