There are moments that quietly change the course of a life. Sometimes they arrive on four legs. Life, Rescued was created to honor the people who open their homes, their time, and their hearts to animals in need. Through these stories, we hope to capture the depth of that connection and the everyday acts of compassion that shape a life, rescued.

Premiering May 20 on National Rescue Dog Day, Episode 3 features filmmaker and creative director Adriaan Kirchner and his dog Maya.
Filmed in February 2026, just two months before Maya’s passing, the episode reflects on a relationship that spanned nearly every chapter of Adriaan’s adult life. What began as an unexpected rescue evolved into a bond that carried them through his twenties and thirties while building a life together in Los Angeles.
Through memories of growing up together, navigating adulthood, and eventually caring for Maya through her senior years, the episode explores how rescue dogs quietly shape the people we become. At its core, Episode 3 is a tribute to lifelong companionship, growing older together, and the enduring impact of a soul dog.
Q2 IMPACT PARTNER:
A PURPOSEFUL RESCUE
For our second quarter, we are proud to support A Purposeful Rescue in Los Angeles, California.
A Purposeful Rescue is more than a dog rescue. It is a community dedicated to giving overlooked shelter dogs the time, care, and understanding they need to thrive.Through rescue, foster care, adoption, and community outreach, A Purposeful Rescue works tirelessly to save dogs who might otherwise be passed over. Many of these dogs are affectionately called their “magical unicorns” because with the right support and patience, they become extraordinary companions.
Our connection to A Purposeful Rescue is personal. Our founder adopted Olive from APR several years ago, and she has since become a familiar face in many MODERNBEAST moments. We are honored to celebrate this partnership through our Round Up program and the launch of a special Unicorn Wool Toy, inspired by the magical unicorn dogs that make A Purposeful Rescue so special.
Together, we can help more dogs find the loving homes they deserve.
TO GIVE
We’ll save the birthing details (long days, nights, weekends, wine and whiskey) because it all became fuel for the MODERNBEAST mission.

C) Give back 100% of profits to 501c3 animal charities.
We designed the MODERNBEAST give back as simply as possible. After the costs of doing business (paying employees, suppliers, manufacturers, shipping, rents, etc.) the profits, 100% of it, is given to 501c3 animal charities.

Set just outside of Jackson Hole in Wilson, Wyoming, the first episode of Life, Rescued follows Grace Peck, an artist and designer whose life is deeply rooted in animal rescue. At home, she and her family care for a rotating mix of foster animals alongside their own, creating space for dogs and cats in need of a second chance. Beyond her home, Grace extends her impact through her Shelter Visibility Project, using photography to help overlooked shelter dogs be seen and adopted.
Through quiet, everyday moments, the film reveals how rescue becomes more than an act, it becomes a way of living. It is a portrait of compassion in practice, and of a life shaped by the decision to continually show up for animals in need.
