New season, new textures, and a few of our favorite reasons to choose natural materials for your beast.

Fall has a way of making us want to slow down. More time outside, cooler days, cozy afternoons at home, and plenty of opportunities for our pets to be right alongside us.

For our Fall Collection, we leaned into that feeling with new bandana styles, autumn-inspired wool toys, and a little Western spirit. But behind the colors and shapes is something we care about year-round: what our pets are actually playing with.

From the materials we choose to how a toy is made and cared for, small decisions can make a difference for your pet and the planet.

Why Wool?

Wool has been used for centuries for good reason. It is a natural, renewable fiber that is soft, durable, and naturally resistant to odors.

For our wool toys, we use wool sourced from New Zealand and have each piece handmade and hand-felted in Nepal. Unlike synthetic materials, natural wool is biodegradable, meaning it can eventually return to the earth rather than sitting in a landfill indefinitely.

There is also something special about the texture. Densely felted wool creates a soft but substantial toy that works well for tossing, fetching, carrying, cuddling, and gentle chewing.

And because wool is a natural material, there is no need to add a synthetic rubber core or plastic filling to create a satisfying toy. Our wool tennis balls, for example, are made entirely from 100% wool rather than the rubber core and synthetic fuzz found in traditional tennis balls.

A Little Chewing Is a Good Thing

Dogs are natural chewers. Chewing can provide enrichment, occupy their attention, and satisfy a very normal instinct.

The physical action of chewing can also create some mechanical contact with the teeth. But it is important to distinguish everyday chewing from actual dental care. A toy should not be considered a replacement for brushing your dog's teeth, regular veterinary dental care, or products specifically tested for plaque and tartar control.

The Veterinary Oral Health Council evaluates products for demonstrated effectiveness in helping control plaque and tartar, and its accepted products include specific dental diets, chews, toothpastes, wipes, and other oral-care products.

Think of a wool toy as part of a healthy play routine, not a toothbrush.

And as with any toy, choose according to your dog's individual play style. Our felted wool toys are intended for interactive play, gentle chewing, fetching, tossing, and cuddling. They are not indestructible, and determined chewers or puppies with especially sharp teeth may be able to pull the felt apart more quickly. Supervision is always recommended.

Natural Doesn't Have to Mean High Maintenance

One of our favorite things about wool toys is that they are surprisingly easy to care for.

Life with a pet is messy. Toys end up outside, under the couch, in the water bowl, and occasionally somewhere we'd rather not think about.

Luckily, our wool toys don't require a complicated cleaning routine.

To freshen yours up:

  1. Spot clean with water.
  2. Gently reshape if needed.
  3. Lay flat or air dry completely before giving it back to your pet.

That's it.

Because wool is naturally odor resistant, it can be a practical choice for a toy that gets plenty of everyday use.

Better for Your Beast. Better for the Planet.

The materials surrounding our pets matter, too.

Synthetic fibers are made from petroleum-based materials and can persist in the environment for a very long time. Natural fibers such as wool are renewable and biodegradable.

Our wool toys are made without synthetic fibers and are designed to be loved, played with, cleaned, and passed through many seasons of your beast's life.

For us, sustainability isn't about making something perfect. It's about making thoughtful choices wherever we can.

Choose a natural material when it makes sense. Make something that lasts. Take care of what you already have. And when something finally reaches the end of its life, consider what happens next.

Meet the Fall Collection

This season, those ideas come to life in a collection inspired by crisp autumn days with a little Western twist.

You'll find new wool toys inspired by the season, from pumpkins and acorns to Western-inspired shapes, alongside new bandana styles made for everything from fall walks to afternoons around town.

The collection is designed to feel at home wherever fall takes you: on the trail, curled up by the fire, or somewhere in between.

Because the best part of a new season isn't having more things.

It's having more reasons to get outside, play a little longer, and spend time with your best beast.

Welcome to fall, with a little more wild.
