Round Up for A Purposeful Rescue: Celebrating the Dogs We Call Unicorns
At MODERNBEAST, giving back to animals is built into our DNA. Each quarter, we partner with a nonprofit rescue doing meaningful work to improve the lives of animals and the communities that care for them.
From April 1 through June 30, our Round Up partner is A Purposeful Rescue, a Los Angeles–based dog rescue dedicated to saving shelter dogs and finding them loving homes.
This partnership is especially close to our hearts.
One of our founders adopted Olive from A Purposeful Rescue several years ago. If you’ve followed MODERNBEAST online, chances are you’ve already met her. Olive appears in many of our photos and product moments, and she has become part of the extended MODERNBEAST family.
Because of Olive, we’ve had a relationship with A Purposeful Rescue for years, watching firsthand the incredible work their team does every day to help dogs who might otherwise be overlooked.
To celebrate this partnership, we’re also launching a special UNICORN WOOL DOG TOY, inspired by the rescue’s loving nickname for the dogs they save.
But first, let’s talk about the rescue itself.
What Is A Purposeful Rescue?
A Purposeful Rescue is a nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Los Angeles dedicated to saving dogs from overcrowded shelters and helping them find permanent homes.
Their focus is often on dogs who are overlooked in traditional shelter environments. These might be dogs who need a little extra patience, additional medical care, behavioral support, or simply more time for their personalities to shine.
The team at A Purposeful Rescue lovingly calls many of these dogs “magical unicorns.”
